From the gas scrubber, the hydrogen has a purity of 99.9%. If a higher purity level is required, the gas must be further purified.

Hydrogen Storage Tank:
Hydrogen can be stored in several different forms. It can be stored in tanks as compressed gas or cryogenic liquid, or it can be stored in other materials by the processes of adsorption and absorption.
Hydrogen transport tank:
At the low density of hydrogen also that pipeline distribution of compressed hydrogen gas is less efficient than a similar natural gas pipeline. Addition of Hydrogen accelerates the cracking of steel, which increases maintenance costs, leakage rates, and material costs.
For the transport of hydrogen gas well-established pipeline installations do exist.

Liquid Hydrogen Tanks and Compressed Gas
The tanks are much larger and heavier than desired, and as such, researchers are currently evaluating new materials to reduce the weight and volume of these systems.
Liquefied hydrogen is denser than gaseous hydrogen, meaning that liquid tanks can store more hydrogen. It takes energy to liquefy hydrogen, and the insulation required affects the weight and volume of the hydrogen that can be stored. Current research is leading toward a concept called hybrid tanks, in which high pressure hydrogen is stored under cryogenic conditions, allowing for more compact storage.

How to store Hydrogen?
Storage of Hydrogen
If hydrogen is stored at atmospheric pressure, its low density means that there is only about one-third as much energy per cubic metre as in natural gas. A gasometer holding the same energy reserves needs to be three times the size if hydrogen is the fuel. To reduce the storage volume needed, hydrogen must be stored in a compressed or liquefied state, or in some sort of chemical form. Hydrogen at 50 atmospheres pressure provides about 0.13 kilowatt-hours per litre, and liquid hydrogen provides 2.36 kilowatt-hours per litre.
